Bonface Massah boasts an extensive eight-year background in the realm of inclusive development, with lazer focus on promoting disability inclusion. Currently serving as the National Coordinator for the Association of Persons with Albinism in Malawi, Bonface is deeply involved in various facets of the field. His responsibilities encompass national advocacy, research initiatives, program design, activity coordination, and volunteer management.
Education-wise, Bonface holds a master's degree in Rehabilitation Studies, concentrating on Disability, Gender, and Development. This accomplishment was attained at the prestigious University of Stellenbosch. Prior to this, he earned a bachelor's degree in Agriculture from the University of Malawi, specifically from the Bunda College of Agriculture. Being a person with albinism, Bonface is driven by an unwavering passion for celebrating diversity. His commitment extends to championing the rights of minority groups, particularly emphasizing the importance of self-representation for young leaders with disabilities who are often marginalized.
In recognition of his leadership and dedication to the cause, Bonface Massah was appointed as the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees for the Federation of Disability Organizations in Malawi (FEDOMA). This prestigious role further solidifies his commitment to advancing the rights and inclusivity of persons with disabilities at a national level.
Bonface has set his sights on leveraging his experiences and expertise gained through the Mandela Washington Fellowship to continue his role as a human rights defender.
